Back-to-School Night

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are off to a great start this year and I am enjoying getting to know my students. Below is my Back-to-School Night Presentation to introduce my Calculus C/D and Calculus D/Linear Algebra classes. This introduction and the included slides represent my usual presentation for our in-person Back-to-School Night event. This was recorded in September 2020 and continues to be a good description of the class. (Note that this presentation refers to video recording presentations. Students will be doing presentations, but we are not recording them this year. Also, it mentions email updates for grades. I now use Aeries for reporting grades.)

Whether we continue with in-person learning or something strange happens again and we have to switch to Distance Learning, please know that I am committed to providing my students the full course content for Calculus II, Calculus III, and Linear Algebra within the corresponding semesters. In Spring 2020 and the 2020-2021 school year we were able to finish the entire course to satisfy the earned credits from San Diego State University and MiraCosta College so that students would have optimal opportunities to transfer those credits to the institutions they attend in the future.
